What I Can Offer

My career has been on the defense side, though I recently represented plaintiffs to an eight-figure settlement. I know how it works on both sides.

My first mediations were in the 80’s and 90’s as a volunteer for the court. Later, I handled mediations of various kinds of cases for more than 15 years, but part time, and on referral only.

I have served as a municipal court judge on a pro tem basis (yes, that long ago).

Base fee is $6000 for a full day, $3000 for a half day, but $750/hr. or any part thereof over 8 hrs. or 4 hrs. Base fee paid up front. No admin fees.

I will take cases within my fields of expertise, including bodily injury, property damage, professional liability, and insurance coverage. Liability cases would include general liability of all kinds, construction accidents (I am a Privette expert), construction damage (including CD), auto, etc. I would be particularly well-versed on coverage nuances, such as policy limit situations, indemnity and additional insured issues, and where coverage impediments affect the negotiations.

Mediations will be conducted on Zoom unless in-person sessions are preferred (I will come to you). The dress code will be casual.
